Knowing Annette as an indie makeup youtuber (Annette's Makeup Corner), finding out she was an incredible pro poker player is wild.

The last card of the tournament being the queen of hearts is so poetic

Played with her before she won her tournaments. She is a top competitive scrabble player now [#86 NASPA], a very nice, sweet person, but smart and ruthless at the table. From what I hear she left due to the haters and trolls, she was very young then, but I hope she considers coming back.

She is from my home town in Norway. Never met her, but my old house mate, who was semi-pro and taught me poker, always bragged about having played against this up and coming prodigy from my home town

I think her style of play was brilliant. The way she could switch up her style of play so smoothly seemed to keep her opponents always guessing. I wish I could watch her in scrabble tournaments. š. Good luck to her from šŗšø no matter her endeavors ā„ļø

Love it that this young amazing woman won against all these men that underestimated her. For me a pro mindset means to never underestimate any opponent, to never take any victory for granted and to always stay humbled.

Thanks much, I haven't paid attention to poker for many years. It was great to see her play so well and win. Sounds like her life has moved on, and the money she won back then gave her the freedom to live her life how she wants to, bravo.

For all the people calling her amateur.. please, you have no idea who she is. Look back at her online story. One of the most feared players of all time. I watched her almost every day. Final tables were given. Winning was easy.

Tabatabaiās small monologue about not being able to fold at 17:03 felt like such a movie moment lmao. Ppl might hate she won with her style but thatās poker she was playing the players most of the night

At 17:13 Tabatabai says out loud what her hand was. "I'm guessing you have Queen, Jack." Amazing that he could guess that. I don't even play poker but this is a fascinating video to watch.

She's a great player. No fear and rather unpredictable. She got lucky a couple times, but to win a tournament like this, that is almost always a prerequisite.

I was a poker dealer when this happened. My buddy had been following her for a few years before and holy crap was it awesome to watch.

Absolutely love that aggressive play, brilliant and ballsy. She got lucky a few times, but got to admire that gutsy aggressive style.

I'm clueless how to play this game, but it is exciting to watch.

Sheās the prime example of how playing your position and the player (their style, their stack, their demeanor) is more important than playing the cards. Sheās so sharp with strategy and really simplifies the many ways to play the game and itās a delight to watch. I read about her while brushing up on poker strategy and Iām glad I finally got to see her play

Iāve seldom seen her play, but sheās scary. Saw a game where she humiliated Hellmuth, who kept assuming she was bluffing when she wasnāt.
