2:01:20 That is precisely what happened. You going into spikes kills you. Spikes moving into you does not. Speedrunners and TAS use this fact a lot to do 'spike jumps'. So the platformed moved into you and Madeline touched the ground, giving your dash back. Also, watch a speedrun if you wanna be blown away XD

I have many things to say so I'll make a list :
• you must be really good at puzzle games, I've never seen anyone get all the blue crystals hearts one they own. You are amazing on this
• you are CRAZY, you were not supposed to play B-sides right after finishing the A-sides ! It way be why you struggle so much with them.
• I like your effort in voice acting, it was really good (especially at the beginning)
• it's funny that the one room that is known to be THE hardest and most hated (short) room in the game only took you 30min to beat
• Congratulations ! It's always refreshing to see new players discover this beautiful game, hope you liked it !

Oh. My. GOD. Oh my god!!! It's Celeste!!! I found out about this game through Therm about 2 years ago and have been on my own Celeste journey ever since, and holy smokes is it fun watch someone (especially Seanie) experiencing it for the first time. I had never ever played a platformer before, so my first time playing I had almost every assist on and still had over a hundred deaths. These days I have 18/26 golden strawberries and am in the advanced lobby of Strawberry Jam, Celeste's biggest mod. Seeing videos like these make me remember just how far I've come- past the horrors of 4B and comb room. This game is NOT easy, outstanding job for getting 100% Seanie!! Outstanding job to everyone who's ever even opened the game, because that means you tried, and that's what matters.
And remember, be proud of your death count! The more you die, the more you're learning. Keep going!

Those ‘cannonballs’ are snowballs because you’re in a presumably cold part of the mountain

I love it so much how over the video it went from “bad-elyn” to “battle-lyn”. I might be crazy but I swear I started hearing the difference when you realized that she was just scared and not evil. Just a kid trying to “battle” through her demons. Idk I just loved the nickname you gave her.

2:01:11 the crystals in this room are 1 pixel lower than they should be, making your hitbox able to interact with the edge of it to replenish your dash.
2:40:00 when you crouch on the ground while holding something you’ll drop it

Celeste has maintained its position as my favorite game of all time, in front of TUNIC (which is itself an INCREDIBLE experience by the way, and I would hate to spoil it for anyone).
Ever since I beat every C-Side and got to experience the pain and suffering that is Farewell, the game, and it's overall message, stayed with me.
That message after you beat the prologue stuck with me especially.
"You can do this."
And.. I did it. I feel like Celeste to me is the embodiment of that message as a whole. You CAN do this. It may take weeks, and several thousand deaths, but you CAN do this. Like a lot of things, like projects you have planned, or even mental health, it may take a lot of time, a lot of commitment, and you may feel like it won't pay off, but eventually, it will. You can't give up, you have to keep going.
Celeste is an 11/10, and, for once, that is the only thing I truly believe deserves an honest and true 11/10.

As an avid celeste player myself, I applaud your persistence and effort, this was a fun video to watch. Oh, also, fun fact, in celeste 64 (a small project made by the devs for the anniversary of celeste) we learn that Madeline is now dating Theo's sister

I really hope no one is turned away from playing Celeste after watching this video from thinking it's too difficult or whatever. Yes, it is a challenging game that could be accurately described as a precision platformer, but it is by no means pixel or frame perfect ever. Seanie heavily exaggerates in the intro when he says that. Timings for most inputs are actually quite generous (letting you jump for a few frames after leaving the ground or change dash direction for a few frames after the initial input, for example). It really just takes practice to get comfortable with the controls and build muscle memory. Once you do, the movement really just flows. The movement and level design are both phenomenally well designed in my opinion. It may be difficult, but it is well designed difficulty.
The difficulty curve is also a lot better that in appears if you just start with the A sides and leave the B sides for later. Chapter 3 is a bit of a difficulty spike, but otherwise the difficulty curve is really quite reasonable. After 7A, only do the higher difficulty chapters if you genuinely want to. If you don't there's really no shame in stopping at the summit.

2:01:13 not a Celeste pro but a speedrun watcher; Celeste is extra generous with hazards that move into you so you toe touching it might be the reason . I don’t feel comfortable explaing more
