My sister wanted to try out game development so I taught her how to make games in Unity in just 25 days.

Thank you so much, Jonas, for teaching me all this stuff!!! ❤
The video's also quite emotional for me, because I'm so grateful for this experience and for your mentorship in this project 😊
And also that personal advice in the end 😢
Truly, thank you, Jonas!

“People are so afraid of climbing the wrong mountain they end up not climbing any mountain.” I hate to admit it but that’s me. Thank you, Jonas. I needed to hear that. Excellent video. I’m starting my hike now, I can’t keep waiting while life passes me by.

In addition to being a generally good guide for how to teach someone the basics of game development, and having an amazing final message, that was all around incredibly moving.
Thank you, I love your work, have a lovely day!

This video touched so many strings: Family, gamedev, self-expression, identity and the uncertainty of the future.
What a wholesome watch ☺

"The secret is I wanna go home" hahaha that was great
Fantastic video. Love how you introduced her to gamedev and how she slowly made it her own. Very, very fun!

this is the most wholesome video i’ve watched in a long time. I CAN’T BELIEVE HOW MANY SKILLS she learned in such a short time! i’ve been coding and doing game dev for 10 years and still suck at blender, shaders, and have never touched spline animation. this really encouraged me to go back to the innocent curiosity that got me into game dev in the first place rather than constantly worrying about efficiency and focusing on what i’m good at, at the expense of learning new things and enjoying the process. also the ending made me tear up. thank you Jonas

Wow...I am awestruck. The ending made me tear up a little because what you say is so profound and it's easy to tell that you care for your sister. I did not expect that from this video and I am glad that I watched it.

Would you consider posting the written parts of the challenges in a document for others to try? Might be a great starting framework for others too.

This was a really cool video.
Pretty practical and a good example to dispel many weird ideas of how to do games.
And you even got philosophical/poetic at the end.
By the way, i agree with your last comments.
Why would i ever be jealous or upset at cars that go so much faster than me?
I am not a car. I am just strolling here enjoying the little time i still have left.
And i certainly am not in a hurry to get to any pre-determined final destination.

I was a little worried that the final game would be a somewhat uninspired crossy-road clone, but the result was not only much more creative and aesthetic, but also extremely competently done! Excellent work!

Also learning UV unwrapping 1 month into making games is insane.
