I really enjoy all of the Crane content! A guy canโt have too many Cranes. But a Shop Crane would put you a tier above the rest of the other Crane guys on YouTube.

Hey, Matt. I'm the retired crane operator from New York. We called those little Groves "neck breakers". They were great for small jobs, and especially in very tight spaces. But Matt, i've got to say, I do not miss them lol You being just a hair taller than I am, won't have much of a problem figuring out why. Now that Iโm done bashing the poor little thing, it would make a nice little yard crane. Have fun with it. I hope you are able to save it.

I fondly remember Matt wrenching on the GREEN AUTOCAR between the two containers, way before the times of roof and shop. The GREEN and the ORANGE AUTOCAR deserve to be completed and have a couple more videos! :-) Thank you, @DieselCreek

Well Matt, I recently watched a video of a guy who bought a rusty old steam locomotive for the same reasons you buy all this rusty old equipment. And in comparison, bringing these things back from the dead is a cakewalk. Watching you wrangle old iron back to life is why I'm here.
Love team Gino. Never a dull moment with him around.

It's always fun to see guys who know what they're doing, do shit. Even better when big machines are involved.

Big hero in this: The Milwaukee Electric Chain Saw. And Sam and "Gino." It is sad that there's no money in restoring the crane. Kudos to Roscoe for the cameo appearance. Blessings on you and yours, even old cranes.

WOW!! Matt has guest stars on his channel, probably the best drivers, operators, and mechanics on the tube. Thanks for the show, and thanks for all the wonderful mothers on this mother's day.

Matt I have always enjoyed your channel for "the machines" but in this one, for me it was about the people. The owner was a good scout doing what he could. The tire guys were amazing, as it would have been so easy for them to walk away from those conditions and still charge you but they stayed and got the job done. Sam and Gino are awesome and I trust you consider yourself fortunate to have them as friends. You clearly would have struggled on this one without the help. Another win for The Allstars. ๐

$3K for the crane and $3K for beer and steaks for Sam & Gino. After watching Matt and Sam's channels for quite a while and all the antics they get into, It's refreshing to see 3 (Gino too) young gentlemen that represent what's GREAT about America. Hard working EARNING their way and having a good time doing it. Carpe Diem! !! !!!

We used to run Grove Gallion and Pettibone where I work at a steel plant in Texas. The nice thing about them is they walk with a load. They still use them at refineries in Houston and Baytown. The most valuable thing on them is the swing gear under the boom. Hard to come by with no teeth missing. Champion crane used to rebuild the machines and sell them. They are near Houston. You might check with them before you scrap it.

That's the same kind of thing I love the electric chain saws for. Like, they're not great for days of lumbering forest giants, but when you need to prune or take down a couple small trees like that, or just do a bit of cleanup work? You can't beat 'em!

If you end up scrapping the crane and only save that sweet sounding 453 Detroit Diesel you still made out ok. It's perfect for a lot of cable machines. Those battery saws are very handy to have. There not something to cut firewood all day with, but they are great for storm cleanup and smaller jobs.
