Reminder on why BetterHelp is evil:
They were found sharing intimate patient info with advertising companies like Facebook. Most of their registered therapists were found to be not even qualified.
You're better off finding a certified professional with the money IRL.
As for the video, great info + vid.

DO NOT USE BETTER HELP! Find a local, qualified, practitioner that you can make sure they are properly qualified and not likely to sell your very personal information

Respect our time AND our mental health
BetterHelp shouldn't be in this video neither should any unhelpful sponsor.
Great video though

My ears naturally have dimples. It’s why I can run so fast

Thanks for explaining how dimples help reduce the drag on a blunt golf ball while slightly increasing the skin friction. This clicked a lot into place for me.

I saved an article from Popular Science or maybe Popular Mechanics from way back in 1978-1984 (I think). They had drilled 5 holes into a boat propeller along the trailing edge about 1/4 of the way in (as I recall). They were able to reduce drag, increase efficiency and thought the breakthrough would see its way into production. I never followed up where that idea went but you might look into it.

No kidding- I'm actually working on a project and will (at some point) be performing tests with propellers and was doing research on cavitation in order to increase the speed that I can allow my propellers to spin- thank you for this video because I will perform my own tests and will try out the golf ball dimples

When it comes to golf balls, there are dimples, and then there are dimples: small, larger, round, hexagonal, shallow, deep, uniformly distributed and randomly distributed. The design of golf ball dimples alone is never static.

It’s genuinely impressive how many new and interesting discoveries can still happen around water propellers - an area I would have thought we mastered 100 years ago.

One of my favorite anecdotal stories about this topic is that battle-scarred Spitfires were said to be noticeably faster than new ones. With every dent, scratch, rivet and patch making old battle weary birds quicker in a dive.

Aerodynamic engineers tried it on cycling wheels.
Zipp wheels are known for their "dimples," which are small, evenly spaced indentations on the rim surface.
These dimples, also called "ABLC (Aerodynamic Boundary Layer Control) dimples" by Zipp, are inspired by the dimples on a golf ball.
The dimples are designed to manipulate airflow, helping to reduce drag and improve aerodynamic stability, especially in crosswinds.
All gains were lost in the wind!
Not to much to write about!

I always thought they'd come up with a shark-skin, a nano-tech spray-on that replicates the rough "teeth" of its skin.
