there's something so interesting about how glitches and unintended movement have become so ingrained in SM64 culture that it just feels like a regular extension to mario's moveset.

I would love to see some absurd "don't press anything" levels like you see in the 2D games

There's enough here that you could turn this into an incredible machine type toy. You don't control Mario, he instead moves automatically or in response to objects/geometry, and the goal is to complete puzzles by setting down pieces to move him to the star.

Can't wait to see this horribly cropped under mediocre Family Guy clips.

It's funny how a game can be so enjoyable, but that's because it was programmed with so many glitches in so many places in the code. It reminds us that imperfection can be more than the perfection you try to obtain.

One of my favorite aspects of video games are when unintended gameplay techniques emerge from bugs or manipulating how the game works - Things like bunny hopping in FPS, rocket jumping, and many of the Mario 64 techniques shown here. Like its just such a creative way to manipulate and play around the games rules. That same attitude goes towards speed running too.

So good! This video also made me think how SM64 doesn’t have a 1up system for jumping on multiple enemies heads in a row

Local bodybuilder plays around with new romhacking tools instead of deadlifting. In other news the Nintendo assassins are reassessing their prospects for the latest job.
