I lived in Khartoum for 18 months. Such cultured gentle people. Heart breaks to see the destruction and suffering.

Heartbreaking ... I know at least some of this footage is from 2 months ago, but thank you, THANK YOU for covering this conflict. Those of us curious for updates hear so little news. Brave journalism by Feras Kilan. ❤

In 2014, I was in China pursuing studies. It was there that I met my dear Sudanese friend, Nasir.
He was my first Muslim friend. He remains the most sincere person I know.
All the misconceptions fed to the world about Muslims significantly contradict what I experienced with Nasir and his friends, all Muslims. I helped them with their English and research so that we all succeeded.
Nasir sent me a message 2 weeks ago. He said he feared for his life because there's a war in Sudan. It broke my heart. It was shocking, too, because the news networks have not reported on that war.
Let us hope and pray for peace for the people in Sudan. Wars have no winners , only a lifetime of pain, loss, and destruction.

I’m so sick of wars and the sufferings of the people especially women and children. This is despicable

As an American, I go about my day and can always find something to complain about, then I see a documentary about Sudan and how their people are suffering and I catch myself and immediately feel grateful. We have it so good but we forget about that and we seem to want more and more, while just across the ocean people simply want to eat three meals.

The atrocities of this warring groups could be even way more severe since there's no coverage on whats happening in Sudan. I feel for the women and children suffering through all this. 😢

Thank you BBC and Firas Kilani for updating us on the tragic situation in Sudan. The conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza dominate most of the coverage at this juncture. Truly heart-rending to witness this destruction and suffering. Prayers for a resolution and for reconstruction of the country. The Sudanese are a lovely, gentle people; difficult to imagine that this could have happened - that they find themselves suffering at the hands of their own countrymen.

We lost life, we lost our loved one we lost everything but we never lost hope and we Sudanese young people are determined to build our country but we also, determined to only remember back the one’s backed us at this difficult time.

We went to Sudan in November of 2022 a few months before the war started. We traveled from the frontier with Egypt overland to Khartoum for 10 days and have many videos on our channel showing what this wonderful country was like before the war.
