Really nice, but there are a few things i really wanna point out: -The fire-shooting piranha plants exist since super mario bros 3, on the nes -in all mario games, piranha plants dont come out of pipes that are facing up, if you are right next to the pipe, or on top of it -When mario becomes fire mario, his hat also becomes white -in your game, when mario becomes starman, for some reason, only his "brown" parts of the texture flash colors -yoshi normally has a red saddle (-in the original super mario bros, the "spiky bois" (also know as "spiny") also appear outside of the caves, for example, when a lakitu drops them) -the buzzy beetles dont die if you shoot a fireball at them i hope this will help you improve the game and/or know about mario

i corn sough, thank you for bringing attention to this unkown franchise, the small developer team at nintendo create fun and great games and more people need to play them

When mario is above a pipe, the piranha plant doenst come out.

the original game doesn't use multiple sets of sprites for the invincibility animation, it just cycles through color palettes on the same standard mario sprites, so ironically your solution ended up actually being the more accurate approach

Hidden mechanic with the pipes: Whenever Mario is on top of a pipe with a pinhara plant in it, the pinhara plant won't come out until Mario gets off the pipe.

This is some mario game but better, best of all its 2D!
