Portal speedruns get absolutely crazy, a proper one will require hours of research and way more time practicing

I recommend playing the game 'Stray'. You're a cat exploring a post-humanity world of robots in a semi-open world platformer, uncovering history while trying to rejoin your feline companions. I think it'd fit in well with your voiceover playthrough style.

6:24 one portal on the roof, the other on the floor. Fall through them to accelerate then move the exit portal to the lift near exit.

2:33 the cameras can be used in the companion cube chamber to skip a long puzzle section by building a makeshift staircase out of them.

For practicing speedrunning (with an ingame timer!) I'd suggest using the challenge mode bonus maps.

You need to play portal reloaded!!!

13:10 the skip for that room is at the start, when u enter you have the exit right in front of you a few meters up. You want to place a portal below you and another one on the rooftop to the left where the staircases should be (you havent spawned them yet). From there you place a portal where your gonna land and you gain alot of speed. Then you move the portal on the roof to the floor as close as possible to the exit and from there you should be able to get onto the platform

a portal game idea: thinking with a time machine or Portal Reload both have time travel in some way

This is my favorite game to speedrun the glichless category is amazing and is the only game I have ever really speedran I would personally suggest learning the basic route I think it's like getting a second extremely replayable game out of portal

I wish Throarbin will do a whole series of this “experiment” 😅 something like this would be amazing to see him get better without major prior research and see how much he improves with each run like this since he is so innocent :D the idea sounds really interesting to me and I bet it would do well on YouTube since his commentary makes it just so much more entertaining 😊

Portal is like the best game to speedrun. I'm not much of a speedrunner myself, I know how to perform just a few simple glitches and skips, yet I manage to get sub 30 minute times already. I heavily recommend you to watch some glitchless and inbounds speedruns of the game - they are not that hardcore so it's quite easy to figure out how to perform the tricks they do in them.
