Alot of people praise the visuals and rightly so but honestly this narrator makes these videos soo immersive and captivating. The stories are delivered soo well and I just want to show him some appreciation.

At this point I’ve watched numerous documentaries and tv shows based of El Chapo or the cartel in general. But once again, i see fern, I watch.

As much as I love these kinds of documentaries, I can't help but feel a certain sense of hopelessness about my country. Los Zetas (the ones trained by US Special Forces) had a safehouse just down the street from my family's house. Women disappear all the time. A family friend who is a police officer told us of a guy who was strangled with barbed wire and nearly decapitated. They are everywhere. They are in everything. And Peña Nieto, the president who tweeted about capturing El Chapo? Yeah, don't ask him about the 43 missing students he turned a blind eye to. Entire libraries could be filled with the depth of devastation and havoc that these drug empires have caused. I've already had an uncle held for ransom, a cousin followed home, and another cousin killed. Everyone knows someone they've had to bury. When will it all end?
Edit: And one more thing: if you lived in my country under these circumstances, would you not try to leave? When you see the thousands of migrants being arrested by ICE, are you going to turn a blind eye just like my president did so? Because believe me, no one wants to leave their home country behind. But if you had the option, would you stay? Agent Hogan left Mexico for fear for his family, but not everyone has that privilege. We're not all evil. We're not all cartel. We're just like you. We just want to be safe.

I live in Cln, Sinaloa. It pains me to say this, but people idolized this man in my city, when he got caught, there was a national radio broadcast announcing his final arrest.
Shorty after, people took to the streets asking for his release, the weirdest "strike" I have ever seen. There were literal planes dropping money out of the sky while this was taking place. It was surreal.
I'm happy he got caught however this goes to show that going after drug lords just doesn't work, because we are worse than ever, trapped in a war with no end. Capturing drug lords only created vacuums of power which is quickly filled and ALWAYS leads to violence.
Thanks for the video Fern, it was a great watch!

El Chapo laughed his way to the bank as the youth died on Mexican and American streets. He now calls the US foul for never allowing him to sleep with all the ongoing surveillance. May he rot in prison for the rest of his life without ever getting a good night’s sleep.
