that appliance runtime chart is soo useful sir, saved and thank u!👏 got a Power 1000, gotta say tho the 140W charging works fine for my Macbook. No need to bring the bulky adapter everytime I work on the field. Charges just as fast

For off grid use, I expanded my ($380 2024 Fall sale) DJI 1000 power station run-time by connecting a 2560WH LiFePO4 battery ($285) to the DJI via 3 XT60 cables to the MPPT in parallel. I was able to leverage the full charging capabililty of the MPPT (without needing to use the INPUT SDC 12V cig cable).
For charging the LiFePO4 battery itself, I use the DJI 1000 OUTPUT SDC 12V cig cable (when not in use for anything else) in combo with solar panels/ MPPT OR a DC/DC from my car alternator (when driving).
My total cost came out to be around $900 USD for 3.5Kwh.
$380 DJI 1000 (2200watt inverter is nice).
$60 MPPT
$19 SDC 12V cig cable output.
$285 LiFePO4 batt.
$100 for 2 100W panels
Misc parts to make cables and DC/DC converters.
I might expand it with more LiFePO4 batteries in the future.

Another video well done sir. wanna note that DJI can reach up to 800w solar charging via 2 MPPT modules, quite an advantage over other brands' 500w max. I think only some extra adapter cables are still worth it.

Learnt a ton from your vid Prof! The power bank looks decent, but quite some 1-star reviews on AMZ got me on the fence.. anyone who bought it? can it really stay charging at 140W in the long run?

I like the SDC port. It makes it look so much nicer than lots of the other power stations

So glad I came across your channel, these are the most thorough reviews I’ve seen of power stations and I especially appreciate the amp noise/RF/EMF tests. I picked this unit up two weeks ago when it was on sale for $379. Was hoping to be able to use it for amateur radio (using the AC inverter) but seems like that’ll be a no go. I do love the Power 1000 but your review of the EF D3 Plus makes me wonder if the inverter in that would be quiet enough for HF radio use on the AC side.
Though the easy solution is to just charge another battery using the Power 1000 to power radios. Thanks for the review!

This is definitely the best review on this unit!

:hand-pink-waving:The brackets are important THEY ARE HEAT SHEILDS FOR THE MPPT POWER PANEL. I think they go under the box and vertically. If the main box gets hot the power panel will not.

This seems like a super nice unit for the low price. If using this in an emergency situation, just get an inverter attached to your car to charge the unit as needed. No need to charge from other sources.

3/9/25 10:15 AM to 11:15 AM East coast USA near Baltimore MD . Temperature around 50F. I charged my 1000 with 6 100W Zignes panels DJI sells. I got a constant 550W input to the 1000 . I initially angled them using the can method and then left them alone. I cannot complain about that! There were small wispy clouds passing by occasionally at high speeds That was from a 50% battery remaining level

Sounds like the Juicero of sogens (*-"so" sold seperately). Also a lot of regular drone flyers probably already have a jackery, bluetti etc, that they plug their drone's AC charger into. And likely panels to match as well.

The SDI ports are now usable with the new 2000 expansion battery. For up to 11264Wh. And it works with an app now. They also released a 1kW car charger. Can you share your experience with the new accessories?

These very hungry inverters make this unit unsuitable for powering devices for extended periods, but really good to recharge other batteries and run high demand appliances for short bursts.

Another Jackery proprietary cables😮
Any power station can charge with more than one 12v socket.
You just need a splitter for the solar input. You can have 2, 3, 4, or more depending on the Max current or MAX voltage in series input.
