Amazing! I'm a similar age to the daughters, and people don't understand the struggle of people of Zorkos' generation. My grandmother had twelve siblings, most of whom were born in Poland, Germany, and what was then Austria- Serbia around WWI. All of my great aunts and uncles had incredible stories as they literally fought their way around Eastern Europe to finally emigrate to the United States where all of them worked like slaves to ensure their children had good lives. My grandmother and my great aunt Mary were both widowed, and both ended up retiring in upper management in companies in which they originally started as unskilled employees. Amazing for the 1950's through the early 1970's! Both paid off their mortgages, paid for their children's college education, and did anything and everything to make sure their families were safe and successful. If they had been born in later decades, they would have been CEOs or Senators, etc. People of this generation were made of stronger stuff. Thank you for sharing this family's amazing journey with us. And can I say that Rosik and Zorkos are relationship GOALS!
