I looked up this case, and for everyone defending them saying that they didn’t know about the carbon monoxide poisoning and it was purely an accident, turns out their son had previously been hospitalized for carbon monoxide poisoning and they had been warned multiple times to stop using that heater indoors without ventilation because they were lucky their son hadn’t died the last time. Yet they continued to do it and that’s what ultimately killed their daughter. It’s not because of money, it’s not because of lack of other heating sources, it’s because they literally didn’t open a window for ventilation even after being told to do so multiple times. If they had just opened a window their daughter would still be alive. That’s why they are being charged so harshly and this is not being treated as an unfortunate accident.

That man that found them probably saved the rest of the familys lives by opening that door .

That little girl died on her birthday in that filth. The only silver lining is she will never suffer again. 🕊️

I'm a CASA (Court Appointment Special Advocate) for children, and what we are watching is an everyday occurrence for many children. Filth, no food, parent's on drugs and worse. It's incredibly sad what children go through because of adults who should have never had children in the first place.

What pisses me off is they had been investigated already for child abuse/neglect. I also blame the social workers who saw these living conditions and did nothing.
