Hi Preston, in the late '60's & early '70's we lived in Schweinfurt-am -Main, a few kilometers from the "Iron Curtain" and regularly saw penetrations by the Soviets. Sometimes, a penetration turned out to be an escape; sometimes, they were accidental. Rarely, a NATO soldier would accidentally cross into the East & very quickly learned how paranoid the Soviets actually were. Once, our neighbor accidentally crossed into the East & a farmer stopped her and told them where they were, they immediately returned home. That really scared them. A classmate (13 years old) was shot & killed by an 18 year old Soviet draftee whom, Brezenev congratulated. So, these are always a test. It's far more difficult for NATO to respond because, the public want answers and the Russians just laugh. This doesn't mean that it's the beginning of WWIII. Thanks again for your hard work.

NATO: Nah… that doesn’t count. They didn’t mean that

This was definitely a probing measure from Russia, testing Nato's resolve and maybe identify polish air defence positions.

What I’ve learned from history is everytime something happens to Poland a world war starts …..

Some of those drones flew through belarus, not even from Ukraine. The flight pattern is obvious AF.

NATO should respond by closing the skys over western Ukraine and call it "self defense".

There is one extremely clear takeaway here: were it not for NATO, Russia would be attacking states who are currently in the alliance. We can also surmise that NATO did indeed specifically keep the Soviets from doing the same. We can now be fairly certain that without NATO, the Russians would have been waging some form of an actively kinetic war on Europe for decades.

Will NATO destroy the manufacturing plant where the Russian attack drones were made? Seems proportionate.

They still hit a house. Explosives' shouldn't be the measure. 3 years Putin can't take the piece of Ukraine so not a good idea to take on NATO

That ceiling was made of reinforced concrete. The drone punched a hole through it after going through the house's roof. That drone was carrying a lot of energy. Don't think of "decoy drones" as balsa wood and Styrofoam hobbyist drones. Think of them as a threat.
