The GME episode taught me a very valuable lesson, and it all falls on one line I read. Gamestop investors were called BOTH alt-right racists and communists by a number of mainstream media outlets. This line was so emblematic of the last ten years that I had something of a moment of clarity.

I think I have a perfect idea for an Ordinary Things video: Straws. How did they get invented? How did they rise in popularity and mass production? When did the tide turn against plastic straws to paper and metal straws? It’s an everyday item that if you go out in public you wont go the entire day without seeing one; and I’d love to see you make a video on the topic if you’d like. Thanks again for another wonderful video.

Dude, I love your smart, witty and ridiculous humor, and your factual and skeptic viewpoint of the world. You cover topics that I have never thought to question, giving me a weird feeling of freedom by questioning this world that I've grown so used to, you shatter that with your outside the box topics, one my new favorite youtubers.

I always entertained the idea of buying and selling stocks or shares.
Then I realise I have no idea where the hell to start and I quickly run away.
