I didn't think the State of Play was horrible, it felt paced a lot better than previous ones. Not lingering on multiple games except that one title where they were fighting a dragon or something idk. Outside of the SXSG DLC thing, I didn't really care for anything else they had there. Also, I could be wrong on this, but I feel like there was way more 3rd party stuff there than anything 1st party. Regardless, they gotta switch up what they are doing over there because it's clearly not working. They said graphical improvements for the Horizon remaster and I'm just staring at my screen thinking "where?". Of ALL the games they could've remastered why choose a recent one that is already beautiful with its visuals. I'm definitely in the same boat where I want to see more smaller games being made for like $30-40. I want to see something fresh and new; I feel like I'm seeing same types of games from these State of Plays. I know they are bringing back older games through PS plus, but it's so overpriced that it's not even worth it man.

I personally thought it was like an 8/10. Seems people either hate it or think it was just decent

i agree with you on the pointless remasters when they have ps3 titles that can get remasters. showcase is first party, state of play is lucky if you get 1st party from what i remember. also the top 20 games on the pstore are third party games so the reality online is not what it seems(people play 3rd party games that sell well on PlayStation/avg consumers buys a console not pc). A casual consumer has no idea what 1st party is (I was once this). They did release horizon forbidden , gt7, Gow Ragnarök, Returnal and demon souls on the Ps5 which you skipped. some of these games where on the ps4 but it's called diminishing returns with graphics. Not giving Sony a pass but during the ps4, the smaller in between games admittedly did not sell well, which is why Japan studios shutdown.

The only thing that above the rest was the mhwilds release date trailer but even that in itself is having issues with spec requirements.

That state of play was complete trash barely anything new just a bunch of remasters and multiplats. I give it a 2/10. Only thing interesting to me was the stellar blade and nier automata collab. Everything else was either something we've already seen or just mid.
