I don't think people understand how INSANE this is. Shows how elite of an athlete Magnus is.

That's not 14 days of preparation, that's a lifetime of pushing yourself to the limit.

You doing what most people would dedicate an entire season of videos and hype build up in a 39min video while being a top athlete in a sport you've never done is one of the biggest flexes one can tell their future grandchildren or anyone for that matter, respect.

Won't lie I thought at the start of the video it was almost a little disrespectful to take a place in the race with how sought after they sound and only 2 weeks training but then to not only complete it but to get a black shirt and get in the top 70 is just insane, you're an absolute beast Magnus, major respect

3 things.
1) I never seen any other of your videos. This is the first one.
2) Congratulations 🎉for your amazing triathlon.
3) How for God's sake you and your team manage to make such a movie. How many people were needed to make this masterpiece possible? Drone footage, camera man on the last part of the marathon on the uphill 😮 and many more. For me all these people that supported you through this journey also deserve a black t-shirt 👏

Hah. You are passing me on the bike at 24:20. We talked on the ferry, and said this might be the only sport I can maybe beat you. But no - I did not😂

People say bodybuilders are the strongest, but it's a norweigian guy named Magnus Midtbo who defies all odds every time and gets the job done, not for youtube or the views but for himself . Keep it up mate :)

Major props to the coaching team on this one. Magnus is a machine, make no mistake, but they did their part to make sure the machine was properly tuned and fuelled.

Getting 69th in 13:37 time has got to be the greatest achievement someone can aspire to

They blew past it in the video, but that last mountain he walked up (Gaustatoppen), I walked up last year and it took me hours. It is unbelievably painful on the legs and is exhausting as hell. It's like an infinite flight of uneven steep stairs. I cant imagine doing all that bike riding and jogging, ALL UP HILL, and then walking up that mountain. Congrats Magnus you've done something very incredible! You have willpower like no one I've seen

This is absolute madness. Over 6400 people from 96 countries applied to compete in this race and like others who have commented here, I also thought it was unfair for a climber with no prior triathlon experience to get a spot when so many others seemed much more deserving. For Magnus to finish in the top half of a field of 256 participants after the swim, when his technique was utterly ineffective just 2 weeks earlier is unbelievable in itself. To not only finish the race, but get a black T-shirt, let alone come 69th out of 256 is completely mind blowing. Magnus has either downplayed his endurance side massively, or he is so completely able to block out physical pain and convince his body to avoid shutting down when it should have, early in the race. Do not doubt this man's ability to do anything he puts his mind to. Absolutely incredible. RESPECT!!

I love how Magnus just finishes the world's hardest triathlon and is like "yo tell me what I should do next". There isnt much else to do and its insane how he is able to do it with only 2 week of preparation + being a olympian. Unbelievable job 👍.
