The phrase 'yo, Angelo' is a reference to Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable. In the anime, there's a scene where the main character, Josuke, greets a stone shaped like a face. 'Angelo' is the name of a villain who turned into a big stone by Josuke.

When I heard that you could greet the heads I was so hoping it was a "Yo, Angelo" reference. For context, in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, a serial killer is merged with a large rock due to anger brought on by the main character and his ability to reform things. The killer's name is Angelo and so when he's merged with the stone it's named the "Angelo Stone" and throughout the season when people walk past it they greet it with a "Yo, Angelo"

Sooo, in the TTRPG "Murphy's World", there is a species called Poughvidd. Poughvidds are cursed such that if they laugh, they will immediately die. Every year, on a day of great mourning, they randomly select a member of their species and put them in a soundproof room, and have a member of a different species tell them a joke. (Imagine being the Elf, Dwarf, etc., with that job.) If the selected Poughvidd survives, then the species might be free of their curse. No Poughvidd has survived yet.
