Software engineer here. Yes, tools like Cursor or Windsurf are great, I am using them myself, but please, have some self-reflection and distance. It does not turn prompts into "production ready code". It does it if you make it do so. It can still spit out garbage code and create a mess.

I extensively use Claude and it does hallucinate a lot. Since I am a creative writer, especially since I use fiction to tell stories, I know how all of these so-called generative AI tools can actually botch up the universe that you’re trying to create! this is not to say that Claude it’s not a brilliant model, it is. But all of these tools have limitations and people should be very careful using them and learn how to get the desired results instead of accepting any result that it throws up. 13:06

All this Ai stuff is wonderful, however, I'm starting to wander if humanity is going to end up like a star trek episode I saw where this plane of beings were so reliant on machines that they eventually became stupid after all the smart people died and the machines eventually broke and they were back in the stone age all over again.
