Good episode. And I'll try not to be jealous that Hank got interviewed by Colin and Samir and I didn't. ;) -John

Y'all dug up his THESIS?? Hank is one of the most mediatized people I know and I'm not sure anyone has done that. Fantastic interview as usual, C&S&team - thank you.

Hank explaining how to escape creating “car crashes” by focusing on connections was so well articulated. One of the best podcasts yall have uploaded

What the actual hell?! Every time I think Hank has been on every podcast in existence in LA another episode with him is released. I just saw the notification for his episode with Smosh and then this back to back. Goddamn.

"Are all the *me*s having experiences I've forgotten dead already?" is such a brilliant way to put that feeling. Kudos to Hank. Looking forward to spending the rest of the day listening to this interview! Thank you, Colin and Samir!

All of Colin and Samir’s videos humanizes the creative process, but I think Hank really put it into perspective in this episode very well. As a father, long-term creative, and a business-oriented person. This episode was really special 👏🏻

Hank talking about their podcast not being on video:
1) Amazing imitation of John
2) I love the people who animate bits of their podcast, so actually you can "turn it into something"
3) In general I think the reason John and Hank aren't burned out on the vlogbrothers channel specifically is that they don't care about increasing their audience and aren't under that pressure like other creators are.

What inspires me most about hank is how unassuming he was in High School. He gives us hope that where we are now doesn't define us.

For those who were wondering what is on the wall in the frame:
We need words to
Fill this part of
The board because
When we film inter-
Views it looks too
Empty and we dont
Want our subscribers
To think that we
Dont have important
Things to say that
would fill a board

Hank did this nice lil collab/interview tour while he was in LA but I was so excited when he mentioned he’d be on Colin and Samir because these guys really make every interview feel so comfortable and relaxed despite also being so of the most well researched and analytical interviewers out there. Another banger from Colin and Samir.

As someone who consumes about 4 long-form interviews a week, this one was one of the most interesting interviews I've listened to. Ever. Great work C&S and of course Hank. Really appreciate the peek into the creator perspective on this episode.

Colin and Samir I am at the one hour and 57 minute mark of watching this video on a monday morning. I don't have a lot of free time anymore as I work very much and often have to decide between showering and sleeping (for example).
You guys have changed how I feel about so many thing including long interviews, long conversations, and "podcasts" if I can call you that.
I love your work, you guys truly are akin to Narduar as Hank alluded. I love your show, I have now seen many episodes in their entirety. I am only one person but for anyone to get 2 hours out of me in a day is incredibly high praise indeed.
Thank you guys and thank you Hank and I'\m getting a little emotional here but I just wanted to say you guys are the coolest and I get immense value from what you're doing.
Thanks from one of your Canadian fans

There's no one in the world with more interesting insights and comments about the creator economy than Hank Green. This perspective is invaluable and I can't imagine a better guest for this show. I can see myself rewatching this for years to come.

14:28 I’m an ADHD life couch, and a lot of perfectionism for ADHDers can be this “perfectly prepared” belief in your head that Hanks talking about. It was very helpful when I learned about this.

I watch vlog brothers simply because John and Hank. Their brotherly affection and down in the gut friendship of a life time.
There is nothing else like it.
They are different enough and alike enough to be interesting, funny, touching, and information.
Real love, real interest.
