Transfer bodies. Think of it as being erased from the world and starting with a new or already existing identity. On the killer on the run ending, he probably helped us transfer bodies as well, so we don't get caught. On the insanity ending instead, only reason he didn't kill us there and then + beat us up only is: The neighbour either intruded the moment. Either that or he was scared because you saw his face, maybe even that you could get suspicious and tell the neighbour, and even if you were dead the evidence would still point at him. So somehow the better idea he made up was transferring bodies, and showing up as the cop instead. So you know his morals, and want to kill him. Which also causes the police to HAVE to shoot you, cause you're armed. Killing you without consequences. And about the fact that they STILL took us in despite Dan being a convicted felon and being on the death penalty, this is where unc and king Sorva's theory comes in! Yes, the police interrogating us was Dan. And he lied to us that he didn't exist. + Even if it wasn't that way, what would you think when the person you took in for murderer has all bodies in their basement? And many more. Technically more evidence compared to whatever Dan had. Idk my brain's starting to burn but it's all I could understand gng..
