Awful. These poor people. Truly horrific and heartbreaking. This is a dystopian nightmare. This is what happens when corruption takes over.

It’s really sad to live in a place where your own people will turn on you. Haiti has been plagued for a very long time. It has been punished by hurricanes but somehow people push through.

It's easy to understand why they would think a boat to anywhere else would be a better option.

My dad visited on a missionary trip in the 80’s. They built a church out in the country. No running water. Had to bathe in the river. I remember they wouldn’t let him donate blood either for years.

This whole place is one big “Lord of the Flies” movie in real life. Sooner or later someone gonna pull up take control, stop the madness, and ask “wtf are you guys even doing!??”

I work with a guy who escaped Haiti after his mom was murdered and lit on fire. One of the most disturbing stories ive personally heard

this is so heart wrenching, I'm American born but i was able to live in Haiti for one year in the 90's like many other children who would spend the summer etc. I was happy to experience my Parents country and tap into my culture but this is not the Haiti i knew. I Pray night and day for the people stuck in this misery. Ayiti Cherie. Also let me clarify this is not the whole country but it's still heartbreaking.

I feel badly for the innocent people and street animals.
