In this era of executive overreach, Jon is joined by Representatives Tom Suozzi (D-NY) and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), co-chairs of the Problem Solvers ...

I want to thank them both for being on the show. It is nice to know some people want to work for the people.

Open primaries and mandatory voting is an excellent idea that I will be pushing. Thank you all 3 for planting the seed!

Jon, this interview is gold! So glad to hear two members of Congress from opposing political parties working together in the common sense way. We need more of this desperately. Keep up the good work amigo!

Jon's right though, it feels like something out of a YA dystopian novel to have Trump talk about how the American people are going to have to go without while also asking if people like all of the solid gold ornamentation he has in his multiple palatial homes.

To have the power to do something, to have the directive to protect your people, and to refuse to act is the definition of cowardice. I hope that we get through this, and that history will not forget those who acted and those who stood by. Eternal shame.

As much as I appreciate Rep Fitzpatrick's perspective... if you look at his voting record he voted down party lines all but 4 times in these first 100 days. That includes the budget bill gutting Medicaid and SNAP.. not to mention bills targeting women's reproductive health and LGBTQ rights (which I'm assuming is not part of his bipartisan ideology) But he hasn't even hosted a town hall since 2017.. I hope going forward he proves what he is saying with more action than words.

I love the idea of open primaries. This is what Bernie has asked for since the 2016! He won every single open primary he participated in by the way! So, yeah. Power to the people!😅

How did you find such reasonable, well informed, and articulate legislators? This was great. Bring on more and/or bring these guys back. The work you did on the burn pit legislation is paying off in more ways than just that legislation.

Glad we got the ladies back for the post-discussion! And good to hear that we have some politicians who can meet in the middle and get things done!
