I don't mind new remakes as long as they're well made. it's been decades since I've experienced them so it's nice to come back with a fresh coat of paint.

Never heard of James S.A. Borey but had to look up his books featured behind you for your on-camera clips lol. Looks awesome.

The Tony Hawks HD chapter doesn't mention the egregious DLC for it. You had to BUY REVERTS AS DLC. Absolutely wild

I remember I got the first one when It came out when I was 9. My friend Chris and I were across the street at my neighbor's house, who was babysitting my sister and some other kids from the neighborhood. We were all playing hide-and-seek. After a while nobody could find Chris, even after we started yelling his name and telling him the game was over. My neighbor was kinda freaking out, so I went back to my house to check. I found him playing Tony Hawk in my room, totally oblivious lol.

It's a shame it went downhill (pun kind of intended). I dropped out of it after American Wasteland but mostly because I just didn't have a PS2 anymore. I got back into skating games a little after Skate 3 came out and was obsessed with that game for a good while. Then Session came out and that was fun for a while but then they kinda stopped developing that game and Skater XL seemed kinda promising but the devs quit that one even faster lol. I love Vicarious Visions they seem to be the best devs for remastering games. Staying faithful and not adding some dumb junk that no one cares about cough robomoto cough.

One underrated thing is how skateboard/x game culture at the peak of popularity in the early-2000s, there's wasn't a kid who didn't know who Tony Hawk was back then even if they weren't into skateboards. The game franchise just happened to be a very fun game, which helped make the series memorable even after the trend died.

Just a correction with Tony hawk's underground but didn't email your photo in to be added by a developer they actually had a in game functionality to allow you to connect a digital camera and upload a photo of your face to map to your custom skater
The deluxe bundle on ps2 included a digital camera that was extremely tiny for this and it was awesome but ultimately never worked

I'm not sure you got all the facts correct, but oh well. While mostly into indie games, I'd still like to see GOOD Tony Hawk games. Not all games have to be scored 90+ to have an audience that enjoys them.
