EDIT FROM 2024-12-14: We're downscaling this project to a more manageable size - perhaps, each couple months we'll host a "nerdy creators' retreat". ...

Hi everyone! I talked over the plans of this "creator hangout" with friends, and we decided to change some things to make it flow smoother:
1) I removed some weird questions from the Google Form, like "what's your monthly income" (ew).
2) We're considering changing the timeframe to perhaps a 1-2-week-retreat, instead of 3 months! I think that'll be do-able for a lot more people who have busy schedules, don't like roommates, etc. And since this is such a new project for me, I should start small, anyway!
So yeah, thanks for following along, and I hope we can make cool online projects together!

I'm not qualified in any capacity whatsoever, but I'm liking this sort of teamwork thing you're doing with others and how this channel is growing. The stickman art boxes are really cool, too.

Cary you are absolutely amazing, to orchestrate yet another great place of collaboration and idea sharing. This is the type of work that I strive for as I enter my 20s this week, for work to simply be in a room / office with a bunch of people who share the same ambitions and dreams as me. Sadly I am of course not a creator, and I absolutely hate math, but the more STEMs you grow with, the more you will bloom. Best of luck, I hope this plan of yours succeeds with flying colors!

There used to be a famous "artist's colony" or whatever near where I grew up, and I've always thought it must be cool to live that way! Spending time together working on projects, inspiring each other, doing mini-collabs, stuff like that. What you're describing sounds exactly like what I've dreamed of but more thought out.
I have more than half a mind of applying, except I live about half a world away. :<

Gosh darn it, I'm 19!
I'm a newborn! D:
Even though I'm not old enough for this, I hope you find the right people, Cary!
Have fun while you're at it 👍

I would love to some day, but I'm on the literal other half of the country from LA, and could never afford to be in this space. Plus, I create content on retro technology, I don't know how much that counts. Oh well, at least we have Vintage Computer Festival, especially VCFMW.

Ooo, that'd be cool.
If only I was anywhere near Los Angeles.
And was a STEM Creator.

yknow, if I wasn't an extremely small canadian creator, I would apply! this is definitely a cool thing to do. just make sure to be careful about space management or drama will be abound.

This is actually such an interesting idea, a bunch of people working together to make passion projects they all like doing. I can’t really do it for a while, but if this lasts a while, consider me in!
