No one would actually use math to check if the numbers are prime. You just memorize some prime numbers to have a possibility to breathe in some kind of regular and sustained fashion.

since it doesnt say you HAVE to breath during a prime that means that anoxygenic bacteria have been winning this game for billions of years

Love how this video is just a way to trick people into learning about prime numbers.

world record for holding breath underwater is almost 25 minutes (1500 seconds), so theoretically an idiot with amazing lung capacity could beat any mathematician who couldn't make it past rule 34 by simply never coming up for air

I found the answer to the question at the end. it would take over 181800000000 years for the world record breath holder to lose, because they held their breath for 1477 seconds, and the first gap over 1477 is at 5733241593241196731 seconds
Edit: I forgot to take into account leap years, to the new number is now 181,675,463,195 years.
Edit 2: I forgot some more leap year rules and so the real answer is 181,679,193,644 years, 217 days, 4 hours and 12 minutes

10:13 the world record is 25 minutes, or 1500 seconds, achieved by Budimir Šobat, he would survive 6787988999657777797 seconds or 206.6 billion hours

I fully believe this entire video was created just so Cary could have an excuse to talk about twin primes

1:30 If you can win $2 500000000000 times, you could literally buy Dream Island, but you've gotta be willing to die 500000000000 times.

Here’s a better idea that you can actually try playing with your friends. You can only blink if the number is prime. The judge sees all the prime numbers and if a participant has their eyes closed on a composite number they loose.

I LOVE how you're using in-group terminology as if this is a well established competitive scene lol

The world record for the longest breath held was 24 minutes and 37.36 seconds which is 1477.36 seconds which would make you last up to 5733241593241196731 seconds lol

Some things to note:
1. Players are allowed to use their hands. Perhaps one could count a rhythm for particularly hard factors, and note every interval of 7 for instance. Many other weird math strategies for the game could come of this.
2. You don't HAVE to breathe at every prime number. For particularly difficult primes, players could tough out the breath hold until a clearly prime number is heard.
