I probably disagree with 90% of Chris Christie's policy stances, BUT it is so refreshing to hear two people have coherent discussion about the state of politics and where it may go without calling each other names or yelling at each other. Ideas from both sides are necessary. Which ideas we use should be decided through debate and elections.

I so appreciate listening to 2 people who don't always agree, but who are willing to listen to each other and discuss important issues that result in poignant insight. More of this, please!

I honestly think this is one of the best discussions that I’ve ever seen from both sides. Genuinely trying to figure out how to help this country. If we don’t listen to each other, we don’t learn. Thank you for this John.

That was probably the best red/blue conversation I’ve heard in quite some time. Level heads, humor, and insight of both points of view. Well done Jon and Chris, I’d like to hear a follow-up in 6 months…. See if the level heads still prevail.

As the spouse of a recent military retiree, thank you for shouting out veteran DEI hiring. The people I know are highly skilled, educated, and qualified, but face unique barriers to translating their military experience into something civilian employers will understand and value.

I wasn't expecting it, but this conversation actually helped me chill a bit out of the nihilistic headspace I've been in. It's good to hear that there is still a way forward, even though it's going to be hard.

It’s only been about a week since this broadcast but, so much has happened, I’d love to see Christie back again soon. He knows/understands trump so well. Great discussion between the two of you.

I’m not even embarrassed by Trump anymore. I’m simply ashamed of this country for electing him.

Timeline of DJT failure:
Jan 20th: FAA Director was fired.
Jan 21st: Air traffic controller hiring frozen.
Jan 22nd: Aviation safety advisory committee disbanded.
Jan 28th: Buyout/retirement demand sent to existing employees.
Jan 29th: First American midair collision in 16 years.
Sad times.

This is how two normal people, who can respect each other's opinions, have a conversation, no matter if they agree or disagree with each other.
Thanks again Jon for sharing this and thanks Giv. Christie for giving his time and point of view.

It's so nice just to watch two people discuss something without talking over each other and actually allowing the other one to talk. So rare to see such civil discussion anymore. Thank you

Jon. I'm Black. I say that to establish where my veiwpoints/ bias may be. Your points about DEI are spot on. 1) it's never been a meritocracy. It's always been about privilege. White men just don't seem able to acknowledge this fact. 2) I love how "white folks" create the conditions of systematic racism, then invent a way to overcome it, DEI... and then use THAT inadequate system as a justification to go back to the old racist system. You are one of few white males that seems to see the big picture. Thank you for being a thoughtful/ thinking person
