The hill really makes the colony area. It also does divide the colony from the industrial, which is both realistic and keeps the theme of the rustic village from being overshadowed by a huge power plant.

The hill is a wonderful place for a monument. I'd probably build a large statue there dedicated to the first days of the settlement, with some sort of short infoboard included to explain it's purpose. I think adding lore details like this really adds to the value of the world.

To quote one of my favorite city building YouTubers, "Respect the topography!"
Please keep the hill!

Not in my back yard! I don't want my property value to go down because some rich snob decided he didn't like a mountain there. My kids play in those hills!
lol. But for real though, it could definitely use a trim, but I like that the quaint village area is segmented away from the industrial complex of the modern age. And honestly would be a great place for a water tower. and maybe some more greenery so that there is still some "natural" colours mixed in with the greyscale of the city that will inevitably take over. But hey, "building a parking lot" might go hard for a video... what do i know?

Personally, I prefer the hill. It adds a "realistic" touch to the area, and I feel it separates out the different sectors of the colony, which is realistic. In real life, you won't find an industrial area visible from the residential one, and so I feel the hill gives them a little more separation. (The hill also looks amazing. You can use it for many future projects).

I have a theory about where the “ghost ships” are coming from. I think if you break some of the physics objects completely without disassembling them first they count as still there even if they are not physically. This might count for stuff like builds on top of rotating pistons (I think that’s what there called, haven’t played create in a minute) so breaking stuff like windmills and radar without turning them off first might make the game consider the physics objects still there. I might have to test that out later.

The hill looks a splendid spot for an observatory to look and faze upon the stars, you could make it on a bearing and make it really slowly turn.

The radar set on the Flowers were in those round, lighthouse looking constructs behind the bridge, its a type 271 radar and was used on several other small RN ships such as the Tribal-class

The hill really separates everything, making it all look much better! Personally, I'd leave it, because I thought that everything was much further apart than it was because of that hill.

Don't tear down the hill, it's the perfect place for a structure of some kind. The hill itself acts as a great natural barrier, separating the colony, port town from inland.
I personally think a castle would look really cool. I think a you could build the main keep on the right side of the road at 00:06, and then have a line of bridges going over the road, to an entrance courtyard, with a lush garden, you walk over a drawbridge and come to the top of the stairs at that stone cutting in the middle of the screen at the bottom of the hill down the radar station.
Then you can build a hanger underneath the castle, and have the entrance at the big hole in the side of the hill at 00:07, then have 'planes' taking off and landing from there. These planes would actually be trains, in the shape of planes, running on phantom track in the sky, but they'd look like planes.
If you build a separate airport, then castle could become the primary military base, that defends the colony and the 'planes' in the underground hanger are performing aerial surveillance over the colony, they could even drop bombs on any pirate ships that come into the harbour.

I would tear the hill down like at 5:00 but build or keep a bit of the hill, so there is something seperating the areas but it looks much nicer.

I think the hill should stay! It looks good and it makes it feel more like a world, rather than one big super flat

Definitely don't remove the hill. Build something on it that can be seen from all 3 areas instead. Something that visually links them, but doesn't connect them physically.

You should level the hill to create space for a massive personal estate. A giant mansion would fit well with the theming of industry since you're like a Carnegie of sorts.
Also an airport would be peak

I like the idea of keeping the Hill there, but reducing it's overall size.
What I mean, is it's total footprint doesn't change, just off the top is lowered by a bit
