In this awesome video I make a game where i break the formula that it seems like every horror game uses these days. It turned out kinda cool.

If I used this kind of concept, it would be a homeless man trying to hide from a family of 4. Your goal is to survive in their house for as long as possible without them finding you.
Edit: It’s a concept guys, don’t expect it to be 100% original. It’s how you execute it that makes it different.

a true departure from the formula would be one human against 4 monsters

“What if you play as monster against groups of 4 humans.”

What if, the LORE is that you (the monster) were once a human, but used as an ancient sacrifice long ago, that's why you became a bloodthirsty monster. But since you can't communicate and you need blood to survive, you kill them. But the truth is, you weren't trying to kill them, but you WANT to be saved by them, so since you can't communicate, you add like a hints that you were once a human (like you make them progress into full thinking that you wanted to be saved, until you make the 4 people convince each other from HUNTING you into SAVING you), then once you're saved, it'll be like a GOOD ENDING (good ending is like not transforming you into a human again, but you were released. The monster died, but the soul is free)

You should add a kill sequence where if you manage to catch a camper, you have to spam press a series of buttons, which after each button you do a certain attack. Then if you don't press the button enough the camper is able to break free. Maybe the campers can have 3 lives, and every time they get caught and you successfully complete the kill sequence, they lose a life until they die.

Your concept is perfect, the only problem was just that it wasnt well executed. The game Hungry Llamu does this perfectly, it explores this concept very well, and I really think you should check it out.

It made me laugh so bad, when the face of the four npc was the same face as all the other games. Like, the male npc all look the same

Imo this feels more like an action arcade game than a horror game. If you play as an eldritch abomination from the deepest pits of hell then 4 hairless apes hunting you down doesn't feel all that scary, even with the added dense fog and lighting.
It also loosely reminds me of that one 'Evolve' game from back in 2014.

A game can't ever be scary if you're playing as the monster, either due to balancing issues (If it's multi-player) or due to the fact that the player is simply the one in control of what would usually scare them in any other horror game.

YOU HAVE TO MAKE A PART 2!!
This game basically looks like a normal horror game. Look at some good horror game. Most of them has visual effect and the most important thing are to make some good sounds and Animation. Here some tips for you
I) When the camper see you they make an terrified animation and their lights fall down. This makes them blind. After sometime they will search for their lights
II) Add good cutscenes where the campers mame facial expressions.
III) Instead of giving text when you get notes , add a sound like what Evil nun (game) does
IV) add better animations. Just a lame walk and a punch that a 5 year old can make dosent make a horror game scary.
V) add more tasks for the campers and the monster
I hope you like these ideas and make a part 2 overwhelming the game ❤❤
