Do you remember Super Monkey Ball - the massive japanese gaming franchise that was the rise to fame for SEGA and the developer of the Yakuza series? It's rise and fall is a crazy story, so check out my latest video on it here: https://youtu.be/7DD5Pbo2D44

As much as I'm devastated to see it gone, I think what's even sadder is that I will always see LBP as something that was killed rather than something that just died on its own.

Imagine being so miserable hacker that you decide to take a game server down that people just want to play and enjoy, no tryharding of anykind just straight up fun. Disgusting.

LBP2 had me in a chokehold as a kid. i used to play around in the level creator all day and try to make my own games. and omg all the amazing levels made by the community. i remember playing cod zombies knockoffs, horror games, and endless runners. so many hours of fun

God, a remaster of 1 and 2 would sell millions. This series doesnt need a remake, just a basic remaster with FULL restoration of liscences in music and copyrights to ips

LBP1 was a masterpiece, one of the greatest games ever made. LBP2 and Vita were phenomenal as well.

I'll never forget going to my best friends house for a sleepover and he showed me LBP. We played ALL night.. That next day I begged my dad for a PS3 and I played every single day once I got it. That was THE game, and the soundtrack will always fill me with nostalgia.. good times :')

You would think Sackboy would be the mascot that represents PlayStation but instead it’s Astrobot

LBP 1 & 2 were major parts of my childhood and a way to stay connected with distant cousins, so sad to find out this was the fate of the games after all

Little Big Planet is the OG "make whatever you want" game in my heart. Before Minecraft we had this and it will always hold a special place in my memories.

Oh wow, I had no idea the Devs came from Peter Molyneux's team. It's not something I ever connected until hearing that but it makes a lot of sense. It's an unmistakably British game. I'll also be forever grateful to LBP for introducing me to the band Battles.

Hearing Sleepyhead in LBP2 was a core memory for me. I can't even listen to it without getting a bit teary-eyed now.

The lbp series will always be part of my life. Those memories of me and my little bro just fucking around and the moon building rocket dicks and seeing how fast we can go, making us laughing our ass off & playing created worlds like jeff the killer, shark survival, bomb survival, and those fighting mech map it breaks my heart seeing my fav franchise treated this way

I still remember the hype of watching the LBP2 trailer on YouTube, that music and all the new features it would have. Such a long time ago now, good times.
