The saddest ads are the ones that have "youtube" personalities pretend to play the game and narrate what they are doing to match what you are seeing on screen. When it's painfully obvious they aren't playing the game but are just describing what they see from the same ad everyone has seen online before this.

Fun fact: Evony is actually a mobile version of a 2009 PC game with the same name, and back then the PC version got controversy for its sexual ads, meaning Yes, Evony WAS always hated even back then

If i were given a dollar for every "guy shooting forwards while enemy approaches" ad, I'd be able to afford a Bugatti.

What's happening in some of these games, it's likely some companies got into legal trouble about their false advertisement and had to update the game with very small gameplay parts (like minigames or tutorials) that relate to the ads. This is what happened with Gardenscapes and Homescapes. That company got into trouble in the UK and they had to make minigames that play like the ads even though they're mainly just match 3 games.

My mom downloaded royal match and was disappointed that she spent a year waiting to save the "sexy king".

I found my 6 YEAR OLD cousin watching one of these ads and I felt second hand embarrassment. Absolutely disgraceful.

i've played one of these fake money-making games, the thing is that they actually did give you money, a very little sum at begining and at the same time giving you hope that you will get more to keep you playing, but when you actually reach the higher levels and about to withdraw rewards, they'll always put your reward "on review" before transfering it to your e-wallet
no, they ain't "reviewing" the reward, they never actually planned to
it was grueling +25 hours of gameplay, im literally watched more than 1000 ads to get around $20, and they didn't even want to give what's due
they still owe me that $20 🤔🤔🤔

11:08 I saw the skip ad button and instinctively went to press it. Just before pressing it I realised this was a video xD.

the saddest part about this are kids have that to play instead of flash games and don't know they could be playing real games through emulation

I feel so bad for not appreciating mobile gaming ads in 2012. There were a billion times better than today's mobile ads.

Here’s the worst part, whenever you get an ad, a description forcefully drops down and takes 75% of your screen, and it keeps telling you to install the app. I kept getting not only the same ad every video I watch, I also kept getting NSFW ads and YouTube has gave me a reason to not want to watch ads. Also, when you pause a video, an advertisement pops up and tries to get your attention. That’s not getting someone’s attention, that’s a distraction. No one stops watching the video and check out what advertisement they are promoting because very little people do that. Advertisement on YouTube has now became more of a distraction than actually showing something that can get their viewers attention.

A thing you gotta understand is, this isn't "the writers disguised fetish", this is "what the writer desperately hopes the audiences fetish is"

Hero wars ad once interrupted a documentary our class was watching.
It was an awkward unskippable ad..

It's gross how a lot of mobile games now use sex and fetishes to draw in people when most of these ads are probably being shown to children.
