Hi Dennis. I think you’re absolutely right about the need for Ukraine to retreat from the Prokovsk salient. By doing so they shorten the frontline. Even establish a new stable front. The main problem is, I think, the structural shortage of manpower in the Ukrainian army. It’s typical for a war of attrition, the Russian strategy, I think. Drones do not conquer cities or villages, only man can do that. There need to be a strategic reserve for these kind of problems. Now Asov is deployed , what can only mean, that’s somewhere on the frontline there will be another weak spot. Russia has the troops to do so. Retreat and shortening the frontline is a tough decision to make, but necessary. Slava Ukraini
