“All 7 victims were huddled in the corner in the room.” Probably saddest thing I’ve heard in a while. 5 kids and 2 adults. 😢

As a wheelchair user with hip problems this is probably the least important part, but ive been in my apartment block and we had a fire alarm go off, it was a false alarm but i didnt know that. Everyone evacuated, and i was stuck on the 4th floor. I called my mum because i was scared, there were no signs of fire, just the alarm, but being alone when everyone evacuated led me to utter terror. It lasted maybe 30 minutes before getting the all clear. That fear has stayed with me even though there wasn't a fire. I can only imagine the terror they went through as the fire blazed and they were alone.

This one was a crazy one. I like the solitary confinement decision at the end.

Someone refusing a polygraph test is actually a smart move. They are not accurate and can be used to lie to a suspect.

that girl interrogating Garret kinda sucks at her job... Not even trying to be nice or use any tactics, just straight up arguing with him

"They had a lead"
The lead: "He was seen running left so he must be living there in that neighbourhood"
... what ?

Poor man 😭 can't even begin to imagine being unable to walk and unable to escape during a fire, especially being asleep and waking up to that 💔

02:30 Lindell had the most endearing smile. The type of guy that all the kids at a family party want to talk to and look up to. Even if it's not your own family! So disturbing that his being disabled was taken advantage of. Rest in peace my good man.

18:11 the cop saying “that’s just pure evil” to the house being set alight and Stanley saying “I ain’t evil” I wonder if anyone caught that. Creepy af.

“Polygraphs are inaccurate and unreliable.” (Two minutes later) “a polygraph proved he was innocent”

I've seen this story covered by others. the true evidence that sealed his fate was security at his house that was disabled during the time the fires were set so it wouldn't catch him going outside at that time.

Refusing a polygraph is not suspicious. Even if you’re innocent, don’t take them.

Narrator says Akron was once a peaceful city. My family who has lived there since 1970 can’t recall any eras of peace
