I spent a week there and "chaos" is the opposite of what I experienced. I like it there.

Vast, enormous Mexico City has so many different sides to it..some sketchy and very dangerous, some extremely luxurious and much safer, some are horrible, some areas are historical and beautiful, some are very modern and full of ritzy homes and buildings..some areas are more touristy, full of great restaurants and wonderful museums...economic wealth can be found in the many 'gated' cities within the city and costly areas...poverty stricken cities within the city are also plentiful ..

A girl I know who grew up 100 km from Mexico City called it "The Magic City" because when you visit it your belongings (wallet, jewelry, hand bags) all disappear! 😂
