I went to Myanmar a few times for work, before all this nonsens. I remember once I got back to my hotel (a very good one) after work and found a note on the desk: "Due to civil unrest, we are unfortunately not allowed for our guests to leave the hotel between 8 pm and 6 am. Within these hours, as a small compensation, prices in the restaurant, bar and room service are 50% off"
Best curfew ever. Gained 10 lbs and alcoholism

Lebanese Civil War effect: this has become so complicated that the attention span of the average consumer is unable to hold on to the context that makes the new developments meaningful.

I'm from Myanmar. Thanks, Warfronts for keeping Myanmar on the news. By the way, Myanmar is pronounced "mee·an·maar", not "mar-mar".

The same reason we ignore conflicts in the middle east and Africa. If there's always regional instability, wars aren't surprising, they aren't uncommon, and the belief that ending the war would bring sustained peace and human progress to the region simply doesn't exist in large numbers.

As a citizen of Myanmar (Burma), I see a lot of peoples suffering, being shot, killed, bombing. Before the Civil War happened there are about 61 million peoples living in Myanmar. But due to the war we've lost many about 8-10 millions of peoples, some went to other countries like Thailand (the most) Cambodia, Vietnam, China, Laos, India and more. Despite staying away from mom and my dad and other peoples in my family members, I kinda feel sad. I lost my brother while the war, he will turn 18 this year (2025). He is my best brother that god gave me. But I still lost him (I hope Myanmar is not like this 😢)

This is the perfect conflict to outline the reason modern professional media is completely dead. The people working there cannot report on complicated subjects.

The attention in Myanmar is centered on Muslims Rohingyas only. The other ethnic groups are ignored probably due to religious beliefs. That is the world we live in

China's role doesn't seem that complicated at all. Distract, foster infighting, this by extension weakens all parties involved, and China maintains all important control.

The reason why conflicts such as in Myanmar and Sudan tend to be ignored is that they don't have ramifications like in Ukraine and Gaza that could have global effects.

Hello from India I hope Myanmar civil war end soon I am feeling very bad that even after these many casualties only few percentages of the world know about this war, I hope people to be safe and healthy 🙏🙏
The conflict also poses security risks to India's northeastern states by potentially increasing cross-border militant activity. In response, India has shifted its foreign policy, strengthening ties with anti-junta groups along the border while adjusting its own border policies, creating a complex situation as the conflict continues to evolve. Concurrently, India's Ministry of Home Affairs has introduced more restrictive policies, including plans for a border fence and limitations on local crossings, to better manage border security.
India only wants Myanmar to be peace because of Myanmar's ongoing civil war creates instability, directly impacting India's economic and strategic interests, particularly the Kaladan Project and the India-Myanmar-Thailand (IMT) trilateral highway, which are crucial for connectivity to Southeast Asia. This Highway will be useful to India and mostly every Southeast Asian country.

My wife is Birmese and we took the most of her family over the border to come live in Thailand, like everyone does when possible. 60 % of the city is refuge from Myanmar. The rest who can escape and the other suffers. Many choose to fight with the resistance like the Free Birma Rangers. Meanwhile china is supporting both sides as long as it makes profits.
