Betty was the strangest person in this video. The killer himself seemed more normal

Betty didn't see the gun or the body, because she didn't want to see it.

Any time someone’s tells the cops they blacked out and might have hurt their wife, they most likely hurt their wife.

The "first sign of foul play" was finding her body in a trash bin.

As someone who has witness a horribly traumatic accident, where two of my friends crashed their motorcycles and one passed away, I can say firsthand that I understand where Betty is coming from where she did not see the body or the gun in the garbage bin. When my friends had crashed, I noticed the bike on the ground, but it looked completely pieced together. I did not see my friend lifeless on the ground. My brain had fixated on my other friend who I heard groaning. Not until I turned around did I realize her laying there in the street. And only eight months later when I received a photo of her bike at the police station, did I realize how torn up it was. Adrenaline, and tunnel vision cause your brain to miss things, and skip over them if it’s traumatic. I understand her side.

"Make sure my mom has to identify my body." Is what sealed the deal that he did it.

The mother's odd, detached mannerisms is consistent with severe fear/trauma. Her incomplete inspection of the trash bin might likewise be explained as a natural human instinct to avoid a painful inevitable. She wanted to know but didn't want to know sort of thing. I survived 35 years in red zone domestic violence, a gun was shot at me twice in the house - I know that the brain attempts to protect us but sometimes it isn't very smart about it. Countless times as my former drugged husband ranted, broke things, threatened me or beat/choked/kicked me, I simply could not THINK. The scenario felt utterly surreal. What a tragedy for this family and this neighborhood.

Its crazy that no one seemed to like Amber. Her kids didnt like her, her mom didnt like her, her sister in law, her partner..only one who was genuinely broken up about her passing was her dad. Just breaks my heart.

We lost my sister in 2015 to mental illness. Months later, I said I don't get it. You never came apart or even cried! My mom said I can't if I ever start. I'll never stop." Breaks my heart to this day.

How dare someone think they can kill another person just because they don’t think that person is worth anything

As the mother of a baby who was murdered…. I can attest to the fact that shock and denial are insane and everyone says how they WOULD act when something happens, but i can assure you, your reaction to a real raw situation is much different than how an imaginary situation and reaction in your head are…..
I dont think i cried for days. I was numb. Going into shock and your body cant handle it, is a lot more intense than youd think… theres no cookie cutter reaction….
Bettys uncomfortable, her laughter isnt bc she thinks something is funny, its denial.

Mom was in shock, her brain wouldn't let her see what she saw so it blocked it out as a defense mechanism

A cop once told me, if something is so bad and awful, your brain will immediately block it out.
He nearly tripped on a arm in the road after a bike crash and there were body parts everywhere. His brain blocked it out. It had to be pointed out for him to see it. True story.
Amber's mom is weird but doesn't strike me as guilty.

You turn a body-cam video into a whole story with suspenseful narrative. Excellent.
