i hope this help for those who don't understand how Bin Laden didn't hear the crash: 1. he might had been in deep sleep 2.the helicopters used during the operation were specially modified for stealth to reduce rotor and engine noise. Furthermore the crash land may have been quieter than expected 3.his compound had very high, sound-dampening walls, possibly reducing the noise from outside. he is also on the third floor which is a bit away from the initial crash site inside the courtyard.
